Noah's Mohawk

The Mohawk!

Friday, September 28, 2007

The last two days have been busy. Thursday I took the kids to get their hair cuts. Chad has been threatening me that he would give Noah a mohawk since he was born. So being the sneaky person I am I decided to go ahead and do it myself. Noah did so good and the mohawk was a success. Chad couldn't wipe the smile off his face when he saw him. Now the reaction of some of the other family members wasn't quite that good. Everyone has come around now after they have seen how cute he is and how much attention he gets from it. Both the Kearney Courier and the Kansas City Star took his picture today at the parade and then at the homecoming football game. People will just stop me and ask to take his picture, it is hilarious! I was really apprehensive about it at first but now I am glad we did, his little personality shines even more!

Chad and I, aka David and Posh ,went to a wedding Saturday and had a great time. Mom kept the kids overnight and we got a hotel room where the wedding was. It was the first time Chad and I have ever been this dressed up together, besides our wedding (I know, sad isn't it?!) We joked all night about being the Beckams, I sure felt like Posh!!

Noah seems to really like Jello Cake, Cameryn cheered him on the whole time! We always have so much fun at Family dinners!

Our church has started a program where we are all reading the entire Bible by Easter. I started last week with of course the book of Genesis. While reading the story about a man named Lot I thought back to a you tube video that Chad and I love. I know I have shared this with a few of you but some have not seen it. This is one of the funniest things I have seen. Watch his eyes very closely throughout the video.

This was a busy weekend in the big town of Kearney. It was the annual Jesse James Festival. Friday night we went to see the Bulldogs play and win, we love going to games. Saturday morning we got up and went to the parade, of course Cam and Noah loved it. Saturday night was a milestone for us, we actually HIRED a babysitter. We have never had to hire anyone before because we BOTH have such gracious families.
Thank you to everyone who has ever watched our kids, you have saved us a lot of money and worries through the years. Anyway the babysitter did great and so did the kids. Chad and I had a great time out with friends and really enjoyed our time together. On Sunday we got up and went to church and then had a lazy day (I love those!) Noah got some new Superman pajamas from Zane Cox (along with a whole fall/winter wardrobe, thank you Dave and Court!!) We were cracking up at how cute he looked in them.

So this blog is pretty random but what the heck! Earlier this month when my family was in town my cousins were telling me about this thing called "jowling" (sp?) Basically what you do is completely relax your face and then shake it like crazy, while you are shaking someone takes a picture. I know, I know this sounds REALLY stupid but I dare you to try it. I promise you will laugh, we had the best time taking turns. We even got Papa to take a turn!

Here are some pictures from this week~

~Cameryn started Preschool this week and is loving it. The first day they had gymnastics (the teacher comes to their school to teach it) Cameryn and all her friends had their "dance" clothes on.

~On Friday night we went with Gomo and Poppy to the football game and Cam wore her new cheerleader outfit. She was just dying to get out there with the real cheerleaders.

~By Saturday, Noah had come down with a fever of 104. Chad and I took him to Urgent Care and he had a upper respiratory infection and an ear infection. Poor little guy, these pictures were taken at the pharmacy while we were waiting for our prescriptions. You would never have known he was sick by the way he was acting in the pictures.

Noah Crawling

Okay I know it seems that I am addicted to blogging lately, but so much has been going on that I want to share with all of you. This being HUGE at our house this evening, Noah is crawling finally!

I wanted to share with everyone my latest project, Cameryn's room. I decided about a month ago that I wanted to paint polka dots on her walls. I first tried to use a stencil...that did not work at all. My last resort was to paint them free handed and it quickly came to that. So yes folks everyone of those circles were painted by yours truly. Cameryn loves her new "big girl" room so it was all worth it. I am also putting a picture of my cousin, grandpa, and brother on here. It is one of my favorite pictures taken at my Grandpa's party.

We celebrated my Papa's 80th birthday this weekend and had so much fun. He was very surprised and the whole thing was pretty emotional. Papa had lots of friends and family there and the day was beautiful. I will put some pictures on here and then some videos later. Happy Birthday Papa, We love you!
