The Adventures of the Mexican Sink!

Last year my mom bought a sink from Mexico and decided to redo her bathroom around the colors and theme of the sink. They all drug it all around Mexico and finally made it home with this stupid sink. Mom spent a lot of money to have this man come in and completely redo the bathroom, they ripped EVERYTHING out and started over new (new tub, new vanity, new flooring...you get the idea) The LAST thing to go was the sink, when he put it in he CRACKED the sink! I was there when he came out into the living room and told mom, his face was bright white and he looked like he could throw up. You couldn't help but feel sorry for the poor guy. Then I saw mom's face, hers was about as bad as his. He offered to have his sister make and paint a new sink but we all knew it just wouldn't look the same. SO fast forward six months and Chad and I are in Mexico. We went to the market and what do you know the first thing we see is a STINKING SINK!!! We both looked at each other and knew we had to get it. We still had three days left on vacation and knew we'd be dragging this stupid thing all over the country! We also knew we had to get it through US customs without breaking it, this thing is very fragile. Well long story short, we made it home with the sink and ALOT of laughs. It was a big joke between everyone we went with, the man at customs said he could finally retire b/c he had now seen a bathroom sink come through! Here are some pictures of our adventures.
